Getting to Ilha Grande from Sao Paulo?

1. Traveling Independently

Take a taxi to Tietê Bus Terminal. Go to the ticket office of the Reunidas Paulista bus line on the upper level. If possible, buy your ticket online in advance. There are only 4 departures per day, so places are limited. Confirm departure times directly with the bus company. The journey takes 7.5 hours. To make a reservation tel: 0300 210 3000. In Angra, take a taxi to the Santa Luzia pier. The trip takes 10 minutes and costs +/- R$ 15.00.

Note: There are no Private Transfers from São Paulo.

Barca SA is slow but cheap (R22 pp), and takes 1.50 hours.

You can buy tickets at the Lapa pier for the Ferry or at the tour agencies across the road from the Santa Luzia pier.
